Staging at Every Level

This house was list at the end of October of 2010 for $359,000. As we all know, listing in October isn’t really the best time to list a home with the upcoming holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Plus not too mention that it is then moving into winter with cold weather and snow. No one wants to browse the housing market in the cold, let alone move in it!

Because of the staging on this house, this house was under contract by the middle of January! Staging works!

The home was partially vacant and needed some updating. We painted over the bold colors, changed some light fixtures and updates the bathroom fixtures and hardware. Most of the things that we did, were inexpensive fixes that really made a big difference and sold this home much faster.

This house was on the market for 3 months prior to staging without a single offer and almost no traffic. I came in and together the homeowner and I put a little bit of elbow grease by painting, cleaning, rearranging and changing fixtures and spent less than $300 in materials. They then relisted the home and sold it in 12 days for only $1800 less than the asking price!!! Complete staging success!!!!
